The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of Lecturer in Mathematics.
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Lecturer:
A Doctoral degree in Mathematics (Applied and /or pure)
Local Applicants with M. Sc. in Mathematics (Applied and/or Pure) will be considered.
Some teaching experience at university level will be preferred.
Senior Lecturer:
A Doctoral Degree in Mathematics (Pure Maths
preferable).
At least three (3) years
of University teaching experience.
A notable record of research publications in reputable journals, which are accessible through internet.
Applicant should be a Senior Lecturer at the current occupation. NUL does not promote on appointment.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertake teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Initiate and /or participate in research programmes and program development within the department.
Perform other duties, including
administrative, as would be required by the department.
3.0 RENUMERATION:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
4.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Gratuitable contract for a period of two years (for both posts).
