LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Management Information Systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in Information systems (with undergraduate content in commerce related discipline) or MBA (with concentration in Management Information Systems).
- At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level
- A PhD will be an added advantage
Candidates for Senior Lecturer position must have at least six (6) years teaching experience at the university level, and proven record of research and refereed publications in accredited journals, and already be in this position at the equivalent institution of higher learning at the time of application.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Project Management among other courses
- Conduct teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Undertake research and supervise students
- Participate in research activities of the Department
- Mentor junior members of staff
- Perform any other duties as would be required from time to time by the Head of Department of Business Administration or the University.
CONTRACT TERMS
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
