The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in Information Systems.
1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The Department offers the following degrees: B.Sc. Information Systems, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Eng. Computer Systems and Networks (with Cisco Systems Certification Programme: CCNA 1, 2, 3 & 4) and general B.Sc. Computer Science double major with subjects like Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The department also runs two computer literacy courses: for science based programmes and for non-science programmes.
A Masters Degree in Information Systems. Related IT degrees MAY BE considered.
Teaching (tutoring) experience at a tertiary will be preferred.
2.0 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertake teaching at both undergraduate and honours levels.
Initiate and /or participate in research programmes and program development within the department.
Perform other duties, including administrative, as would be required by the department.
The successful candidate will be expected to assume duty from 1st July, 2019.
3.0 RENUMERATION:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
4.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT:
Appointment is for a one (1) year contract.
