1.0 Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
The applicant for this position must:
(a) Hold a minimum of M. A. in English Language and Linguistics or a related area. A Ph. D will be an added advantage;
(b) Have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at tertiary level;
(c) Be able to work effectively within an established team
environment;
(d) Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication
and presentation skills;
(e) Have demonstrable ability to develop new programmes and review
the ones already running to assist in the successful completion and implementation of Semesterization process.
(f) Have experience in supervision of research at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
2.0 Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching and assessment of both theoretical and practical
components of courses;
Supervision of research at both undergraduate and graduate
levels;
Consultation with students and the broader learning community;
Participation in appropriate projects and committees; and
Undertake research and publish in their area of specialization.
3.0 Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
4.0 Contract:
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non-
Locals.
