The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Development Studies Education.

1.0 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
 A PhD in Development Studies Education or Social Studies Education
OR
 A PhD in Development Studies or Social Studies with appropriate /
relevant background in Education
 A Masters in Development Studies Education
 A minimum experience of three (3) years of teaching courses in the
required area in an institution of higher education; preferably on a fulltime basis
 A proven record of research, conferences and seminar presentations in
the relevant area.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be responsible for the following:
 Designing courses, teaching and supervising research at undergraduate
and postgraduate levels;
 Supervising Teaching Practice;
 Presenting relevant papers at national and international conferences;
 Undertaking research and publishing in the area of specialization;
 Diligently performing any other duties as shall be required by the
Department and Faculty.

3.0 REMUNERATION
The University offers salaries and other benefits that are commensurate
with the qualifications and experience of the applicant who shall qualify for the appointment.

4.0 TYPE OF CONTRACT
The contract shall be permanent and pensionable for local applicants, and
contractual for non-local applicants.

5.0 OTHER INFORMATION REQUIRED FROM CANDIDATES
