Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The Department offers the following degrees: B.Sc. Information Systems, B.Sc.
Computer Science, B.Eng. Computer Systems and Networks (with Cisco Systems Certification Programme: CCNA 1, 2, 3 & 4) and general B.Sc. Computer Science double major with subjects which include: Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The department also runs two computer literacy courses: for science-based programmes and for non-science programmes.
- A minimum of Master’s Degree in Computer Science (locals) and PhD in Computer Science (non-locals).
- Teaching (tutoring) experience at a tertiary will be an added advantage.
- PhD in a relevant field for locals will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake teaching at undergraduate levels.
- Initiate and /or participate in research programmes and programme development within the department.
- Perform other duties, including administrative, as would be required by the department.
- Must be able to teach main stream Computer Science courses which among others include: Discrete Mathematics, Theory of Computation and Compiler Construction.
- Must be able to teach all programming courses at any level.

The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
