Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- At least a Master’s Degree in Communication Science, Communication Management or any equivalent qualification; a PhD will be an added advantage.
- Applicants should be able to teach a broad range of courses with specialisation in the following areas: organisational communication, strategic communication and research methods.
- Applicants should have at least three (3) years of teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Evidence of a research and publication record may be an added advantage.
- Applicants should have a strong willingness to contribute to strengthening support for students, and to creating an intellectual climate in which research, teaching, and debate are able to flourish.
- Preference will be given to a local candidate in Lesotho.
For a Senior Lecturer
Applicants should:
- Have evidence of a research and publication record; a minimum of three (3) journal articles in refereed and/or accredited journals.
- Have a PhD in Communication Science or Communication Management.
- Have a proven record of conferences and seminar presentations in the relevant area.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching
- Supervising
- Participating in the research programmes of the Department / Faculty
- Conducting research in his/her area of expertise and performing any other duties as may be required by the Department
- Assuming administrative duties if requested
- Engaging in community service
- Being committed to continued professional and academic development to strengthen design and development of programmes, teaching, research and any associated activities
Remuneration
The University offers competitive salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment Type
Permanent and pensionable / gratuitable for locals and two–year contract position for Non-Locals.
