LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER
The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Chemical Technology
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this post is MSc in Metallurgy or any related field with a strong background in Chemistry OR Chemical Technology and a minimum of two years teaching experience at a recognized university. Candidates with a BSc Degree in Chemical Technology or a BSc Degree in Chemistry and has a substantial experience in teaching Metallurgy and Chemistry courses at the university level will be an advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will include courses
Teaching of Chemical Technology, Applied Chemistry and Chemistry courses to both undergraduate and post- graduate students.
Supervision of laboratory sessions for the practical components of courses assigned to teach
Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students’ projects
Participate in the research activities of the department
Writing research proposals that can attract research funds, designing new courses and/or programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate training in Chemical Technology.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the department from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type:
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
