Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master Degree in Information Systems (with undergraduate content in commerce related discipline), or Business Information Technology/Informatics, or MBA (with concentration in Business Information Systems (BIS) or any other related degree.
- At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level.
- Strong knowledge in Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Artificial Intelligence in Business, Blockchain, Fintech, is highly preferable.
- A Ph.D. in ICT or Business Information System will be an added advantage.
- Candidates who have Project Management qualification will have an added advantage.
Conditions
- For Senior Lecturer, candidates must have a Ph.D. and at least six (6) years teaching experience at the university level and should be in this position at their institution of higher learning at the time of application.
- A proven record of scholarly research and refereed publications in accredited journals.
- Successful candidates with a Master Degree should demonstrate willingness to register for Ph.D. within two years of appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Design and teach course in key areas of Management Information Systems (MIS) such as Business Intelligence & Analytics, Blockchain Technologies, Project Management, E-commerce, and Data Mining.
- Ensures that MIS curriculum remains relevant and aligned with emerging trends in the integration of technology in business.
- Conduct teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Undertake research and supervise students.
- Participate in research activities of the Department.
- Mentor junior members of the staff.
- Perform any other duties from time to time as may be assigned by the Head of Department of Business Administration or the University.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
