Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicants must have a Master Degree in Financial Management or Accounting with concentration in Taxation.
- At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level for non-local applicants.
- For Senior Lecturer, candidates must have at least six (6) years teaching experience at the university level, and the proven record of research and refereed publications in relevant disciplines, and be in this position at the time of application.
- Professional certificates such as CA/CIMA/CFA will be an added advantage.
- Successful candidates with a Master degree should demonstrate willingness to register for Ph.D. within two years of appointment.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach the major courses in the field of Accounting & Finance, Auditing, Financial Risk Management and related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- Develop course materials that align with the current trends in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, investment analysis and sustainable finance.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and mentor early-career researchers.
- Participate in Faculty meetings, programme development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance reviews.
- Perform any other duties and be assigned by the Head of Department of Business Administration from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
