Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- At least a Master’s Degree in Financial Management or Accounting with a concentration in Taxation
- Knowledge of Risk and Asset Management will be an added advantage
- At least one (1) year teaching experience at tertiary level for non-local applicants
For Senior Lecturer:
- At least six (6) years teaching experience at university level
- Proven record of research and refereed publications in relevant disciplines
- Must already hold the Senior Lecturer position at the time of application
- Professional certificates such as CA, CIMA, or CFA will be an added advantage
- Successful candidates with a Master’s Degree should demonstrate willingness to register for a PhD within two (2) years of appointment
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach major courses in Accounting and Finance, Auditing, Financial Risk Management, and related courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Develop course materials aligned with current trends in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, corporate finance, investment analysis, and sustainable finance
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students and mentor early-career researchers
- Participate in faculty meetings, programme development, accreditation processes, and quality assurance reviews
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department of Business Administration from time to time
Remuneration
The University offers salaries and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment Type
- Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for local applicants
- Two (2) year contract for non-local applicants, with the possibility of renewal
