PROFESSOR / ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR / SENIOR LECTURER IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above post:
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
1) A PhD in Accounting and/or Finance.
2) For a Professor / Associate Professor, at least ten (10) years of teaching experience at tertiary level
3) For Senior Lecturer, at least six (6) years of teaching experience at tertiary level.
4) Proven track record of supervising postgraduate research students.
5) Proven track record of research and publishing with reputable publishers, and in accredited journals.
6) Ability to design academic, and short term executive programmes
7) Must be willing to mentor junior members of staff in research and publications.
8) Ability to attract funds / or grants to the Department / Faculty
9) Professional Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.
Duties and responsibilities
1) Teaching variety of courses in accounting and finance at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
2) Assist in the development, diversification and launch of new programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Department.
3) Participate in the research programmes of the Department/Faculty; and supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate dissertations
4) Perform administrative and any other duties in the Department/Faculty/University as assigned by the HoD.
