LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance or MBA with concentration in Accounting/Finance.
- A Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification and/or PhD will be an added advantage.
- At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level
Candidates for Senior Lecturer position must have at least six (6) years teaching experience at the university level, and the proven record of research and refereed publications in accounting and finance, and already be in this position at the equivalent institution of higher learning at the time of application.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be expected to:
- Teach Financial Accounting and Auditing among other courses
- Conduct teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Undertake research and supervise students
- Participate in research activities of the Department
- Mentor junior members of the staff
- Administration, initiate, participate in, and perform any other duty, including administration, as would be required from time to time by the Head of Department of Business
CONTRACT TERMS
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable terms for Locals, and Two Years’ Contract for Non-Locals with a possibility of renewal.
