FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY: DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
Post No. 0909: Senior Lecturer/Lecturer (General Chemistry)
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
The minimum requirement for this position is an MSc in Chemistry, with a minimum of two years teaching experience at a university. A PhD in either physical or inorganic chemistry will be an added advantage.
Applicants are advised that the University does not promote on appointment.
Duties:
• Teach General Chemistry to first year students
• Supervision of laboratory sessions for the practical components of courses assigned to teach
• Taking part in the research activities of the department
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the department from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type:
This position is for a fixed term contract of two (2) years.
