Learning Administrator ( P11 )

To provide a coordination and training administration service to a specific unit as part of the Learning team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Learning Consultants in the team with learning system reports and information to prepare their 90 day training plans and provide them with information on waitlisted employees.

  • Prepare training schedule reports for printing for non-computer users where required and ensure that the schedules are pinned on the correct notice boards.

  • Draw reports for the Learning Manager or HR team on request.

  • Drive the utilisation of the Sappi learning management system by helping employees and line managers browse for training, create development plans, book and approve for training, use the online collaboration tools and run the system reports.

  • Maintain course completions and follow up with facilitators for the uploading of attendance registers.

  • Monitor that evaluation questionnaires are completed for third party training. Escalate to the learning manager if there are gaps.

  • Update employee files with documentation required for regulatory audits (such as legal licenses, SETA registration documentation and formal qualifications).

  • Coordinate the registration of employees with professional associations, process payments and maintain the required registration information.

  • Administer approved study loans by obtaining the registration information and arranging payments to the institutions. Follow up with study loan recipients to submit

    their results. Escalate to the Learning Consultant for the area if an employee failed and arrange the recovery of the funds or rewrite arrangements as per policy.

  • Continuously identify areas for process improvement in the learning department and recommend to the Learning Manager for consideration.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12
  • Diploma in Human Resources Development or related field
  • 1-3 years administration experience in a learning function
  • Learning system administration experience
