π’ Call for Project-Based Experts β Circular Economy and Entrepreneurial Support
East Africa Gate (EAGate) is inviting qualified professionals to submit CVs for two key expert positions under an anticipated 12-month regional capacity-building assignment covering East and Southern Africa. The assignment will focus on four priority countries: (Angola, Namibia, Burundi, and Mozambique)
The programme will include organisational needs assessments, curriculum development, blended training, workshops, coaching, peer learning, investment-readiness support and the integration of circular economy principles into existing incubation and acceleration programmes.
Lead Expert β Circular Economy and Business Support Specialist
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the overall technical design and implementation of the capacity-building programme.
- Conduct and guide organisational needs assessments.
- Develop circular economy training curricula, tools and practical learning materials.
- Deliver training, workshops, coaching and technical advisory support.
- Support ESOs in identifying and assessing circular economy enterprises.
- Provide technical guidance on circular business models, particularly in plastics, packaging, electronics, repair, reuse, refurbishment and resource efficiency.
- Contribute to technical reporting, quality assurance and documentation of lessons learned.
Minimum profile:
- Advanced university degree, preferably at Masterβs level, in sustainable development, environmental management, business administration, economics or a related discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant professional experience in circular economy, sustainable business models or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering professional training or capacity-building programmes.
- Experience with training-of-trainers methodologies is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting incubators, accelerators, ESOs, BDS providers, start-ups or MSMEs.
- Practical experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably East and Southern Africa.
- Excellent facilitation, analytical, reporting and knowledge-transfer skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Portuguese
