Laboratory Technician

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of a Technical Officer in the Department of Biology of the National University of
Lesotho. The appointment will be on permanent and pensionable terms of service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS WND EXPERIENCE:
• Candidates must have a relevant post C.O.S.C. Diploma or equivalent qualification in Biological Sciences. Working experience in a laboratory is an
added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with lecturers in the preparation and running of laboratory classes;
• Preparation of laboratories for Biology practical classes;
• Cleaning up of laboratories after practical classes;
• Maintenance of animal and plant collections;
• Keeping inventory of materials;
• Ordering of supplies;
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
