LABORATORY DEMONSTRATOR
The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Laboratory Demonstrator.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum qualification requirement is a BSc in Chemistry or BSc in Chemical Technology. The prospective candidate should possess adequate knowledge of Chemistry to be able to undertake preparations and set up for laboratory experiment without supervision. The candidate must have adequate knowledge of basic electronics and computer literacy and be able to troubleshoot and undertake minor repairs of teaching equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Making preparations prior to laboratory sessions and supervision during laboratory sessions and
Keeping inventory of chemicals and laboratory equipment.
Ordering of chemicals, glassware and laboratory equipment.
Laboratory housekeeping and handling equipment and minor maintenances of laboratory instruments.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Remuneration:
The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment type:
This position will be an initial two year contract with the possibility for renewal and it is for Lesotho nationals only.
