Is currently seeking for applicants for the following positions:
COMPUTER LAB TECHNICIAN – DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
The candidate must possess a Diploma in Information Technology in related field with three (3) years minimum working experience.
Experience working at a higher educational institution will be an added advantage.
MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Assist students with troubleshooting in computer labs.
- Replenish supplies and oversee all other lab equipment.
- Keep labs and equipment clean and enforce all rules concerning the use of labs.
- Maintain a comfortable and safe working environment for lab users.
- Maintain security of the Labs. Responsible for opening and closure of the Labs.
- Assist students in the Lab by demonstrating the proper use of the equipment and how to use hardware and software to finish assignments.
- Prepare lab schedule, provide backup of software and perform equipment repairs or arrange for repairs to be completed.
- Oversee and supervise student helpers.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES:
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Good computer literacy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Professionalism

- PROVIDE A PROOF OF SETTLEMENT OF NATIONAL MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT SECRETARIAT (NMDS) SPONSORSHIP LOAN OR PROOF THAT CANDIDATE WAS NOT SPONSORED BY NMDS FOR THEIR STUDIES OR PROOF THAT CANDIDATE IS CURRENTLY PAYING NMDS LOAN OR AN UNDERTAKING LETTER THAT SHOULD THE CANDIDATE BE SUCCESSFUL, HE/SHE AUTHORISES THE UNIVERSITY TO MAKE DEDUCTIONS TOWARDS REPAYMENT OF NMDS LOAN FROM THEIR SALARY.
