Saiccor Mill
Lab Assistant ( Grade 16 )
Sappi Saiccor Mill requires Lab Assistants to collect various samples from around the factory and prepare them for analysis as well as assisting with pulp sample archiving and cleaning of lab glassware etc .
This role reports to the Analytical Services Manager
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- Collect samples from different points in the plant.
- Prepare samples for analysis.
- Archive pulp samples.
- Dispose of broken glassware.
- Clean research apparatus, laboratory benches and glassware used.
- Collect canteen requirements and stock tea room.
- Collect stock from main stores.
