Job title: Kitchen Assistant x 10
Reports to: Chef
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Supporting chef in a specific work section.
2. Washing, peeling and preparing food items.
3. Washing kitchen appliances, work surface and floor.
4. Creating, testing and evaluating new pastry and dessert recipes.
Competencies:
• Ability to carry out tasks quickly and competently.
• Ability to pick up detailed instructions quickly and follow them closely.
• Good spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team
Qualification and experience:
• Minimum of certificate in cooking or Home Economics.
• Skills in pastry will be an added advantage.
