Summary
The Engineer will be part of a Simulation and Modelling team performing simulation studies for small and large projects. The Engineer performs simulation studies using a variety of software which includes Excel, Arena, Simio and G2.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering the information required for the study
- Developing the simulation model in appropriate software
- Verifying the model with the client
- Conducting the simulation study
- Assimilating and reporting findings to the client
- Writing up the study report
- Arranging meetings and interacting with the client
- Visits to client sites
- Compiling and reviewing data and simulation results typically in MS Excel spreadsheets
- Presentations within the project team, Hatch and to the client
- Documentation
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology)
- Good results in mathematics and statistics
- 0 – 3 years simulation and modelling experience
- Good analytical skills demonstrated
- Experience with Arena, Simio and VBA advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to function with minimal supervision.
- Good safety awareness.
