Key responsibilities:
- Execute various project management/administration tasks;
- Support the identification of new avenues of knowledge application;
- Generate technical reports, articles, conference papers and presentations aimed at energy sector clients, partners and collaborators;
- Contribute to formulating research proposals and respond to needs of both internal and external clients, partners and collaborators.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- An Honours degree in engineering, science, mathematics, economics or related field with at least three years’ of relevant work experience in an energy related field;
- Basic knowledge of the following is essential:
- Energy, economics and financial modelling;
- Scenario analyses;
- Energy planning/modeling tools
- South African and Southern African power systems;
- Energy policies, legislation, regulations, codes and standards;
- Ability to draft proposals and work as part of a team.
