Reporting to the Head of Legal your responsibilities will include:
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalise contracts
- Update and improve template documents
- Assist with dispute resolution, including consumer matters
- Keep abreast of new legal developments affecting the business
- Assist with regulatory matters
- Assist with training and seminars
- Integrate with the business via regular communication
- Support the legal team as required

- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing

- Good working knowledge of South African law in general
Qualifications & Experience:
- LLB, admitted attorney in South Africa
- 1-2 years post-admission experience at a well-established law firm in commercial / corporate law, or in the in-house legal department of a large corporate
- Experience in commercial law issues generally, and particularly in drafting / reviewing contracts
- Experience in technology, retail or employment law would be ideal, but is not strictly required
