We are African Clean Energy. We are a rapidly growing B Corp enterprise focused on enabling decentralised access to clean energy for households in Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. We are currently operating in Lesotho, Cambodia, Kenya and Uganda, with our flagship factory in Thetsane, Lesotho. Our mission is to eliminate the worst forms of poverty on a platform of clean energy and smartphone technology. We are best known for our ACE One: a solar-biomass hybrid that significantly reduces the need for cooking fuel, burns without smoke, and offers electricity for mobile charging and lighting.
Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to work closely with the Internal Audit and Compliance Officer in adding value and improving our systems by bringing in a disciplined and systematic approach to risk management, control and good corporate governance. A successful candidate with a thorough knowledge of Accounting and Auditing will assist in determining internal audit scope and audit plans .
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’s effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
- Assist in assessing the policies/ risks and audits data/finance to protect the company from risks such as theft, loss, and compliance issues etc.
- Analyze contracts, investigate claims, and assist in verifying financial documents
- Assist in re-auditing systems, processes etc. after implementation.
- Assist the Internal Audit and Compliance officer in preparing an audit repo
- Comply with Auditing Standards.
- Reporting of fraud.
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct

General requirements:
- Atleast 2 years of experience in related field
