Junior Engineer (8 Positions)

Qualifications and Other Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution
- Understanding of electrical design tools
- Computer literacy and report-writing skills
- A valid driver’s licence
Key Performance Areas
Technical Support and Operations
- Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of electrical transmission and distribution systems
- Support maintenance activities for substations, transformers, switchgear, and power lines
- Participate in load analysis, fault detection, and system performance monitoring
- Assist in troubleshooting power outages and system failures
Project Support
- Contribute to engineering projects, including rural electrification and network extension initiatives
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with timelines and budgets
Maintenance and Safety
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance programmes
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, regulations, and company policies
- Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Collect and analyse operational data related to power system performance
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Maintain accurate engineering records and system documentation
Customer and Stakeholder Support
- Rectify technical issues affecting customers
- Provide technical input during customer connection processes in collaboration with Customer Services and other departments
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with national electricity regulations and LEC standards
- Support environmental and regulatory compliance initiatives
