EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Cost and Management Accounting or CIMA
• 3 Year Diploma in Cost and management Accounting
• Degree in Accounting and finance with appropriate Costing experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience on Sage application is preferred
• 5 Years’ experience with proven references in a Mining Environment

KEY DELIVERABLES
• Daily and Month end reporting
• Cost and Revenue Reconciliations
• Budgets and Forecasting
• Business Analysis and Scenario Planning
• Maintaining and improving Costing system

KNOWLEDGE
• Review reports carefully for anomalies and other inconsistencies
• Prepare monthly and Quarterly accounting reports for submission to Management
• Conduct inventory reserve analysis on quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
• Assist Finance Manager with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to increase cash flow
• Classify Costs accurately
• Generate cost accounting models and analyse finding
• Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate
• Maintain and review cash costs and reconcile monthly
• Analyse supplies costs and create cost-benefit analysis for changing vendors
• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records of the business.
• Analyse any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost
• Evaluate all project cost that have been used, so the company can ensure project effectiveness and activities in accordance with the objective of the company business.
• Track, analyse and report inventory valuations to management, ensure valued inventories have accurate quantities and are properly valued in accordance with IFRS
• Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
• Acquire a detailed understanding of BBB business model, processes, procedures and Plant accounting internal controls.

PLANNING /FORECASTING /ANALYSIS
• Participates in the coordination and preparation of operating forecast vs budget, as required
• Approve purchase requests and align to budget spending
• Analyse weekly costs and prepare regular reports comparing budgeted costs to actual production costs.
• Work with operations on new and proposed product cost estimates
• Participates in preparation of the annual cost’s development, analyses and reports budgeted variances, and perform volume, component and core costing analysis
• Prepare monthly costs variance analysis to support accurate and timely reporting of monthly actuals to various internal customers.
• Evaluate all project cost that have been used, so the company can ensure project effectiveness and activities in accordance with the objective of the company business.
