Jo’burg Child Welfare provides care services, adoption and fostering, abuse treatment and prevention, rights advocacy and learning to children and their families across Johannesburg.
Jo’burg Child Welfare seeks to appoint an Adoption Supervisor to be based in south Africa.
Requirements:
- A qualified Social Worker
- Registered with SACSSP
- A valid driver’s licence
- Experience of at least five years in Child Care Protection, experience in adoption would be an added advantage
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organisational, planning, administrative and monitoring skills
- Ability to work with all forms of media
- Willingness to work overtime
- Ability to work closely with the demands of overseas partners and to manage the inter country adoption programme
- Networking skills and the ability to work closely with The National Coalition of Adoptions, the government and all other relevant stakeholders
- Ability to advocate, lobby and be a voice for adoption with relevant institutions and the community
- Ability to work under pressure in an organised, quick and efficient manner
