In response to such situation, JICA Ogata Research Institute published the first issue of its flagship report Human Security Today last March, aiming to analyze, research, and disseminate the significance of human security in light of the changing times from various perspectives. Commemorating the launch of the English version of the report, the seminar will invite international experts to deepen the discussion on the concept and practice of human security.
How can the international community work together to build a resilient society when compound risks threaten our lives, livelihoods, and dignity? Why is the concept of “human security,” born 30 years ago, attracting renewed attention in today’s international society? Please join to discuss these themes together.
