JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2020

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) is hosting its International Student Poster Award competition for 2020 and invites participation by students worldwide.

The theme for 2020 is “Money”.

Approximately 200 works will be selected and the following prizes will be awarded: Grand Prix (1), Gold (2), Silver (5), Bronze (10) and Jury Prize (7).

The Grand Prix and Gold recipients will be invited to the awards ceremony on Saturday, 28 November 2020 and their prize winning works will be published in the annual book “Graphic Design in Japan 2021”. All selected works will be exhibited at the National Art Center, Tokyo and will be published in a catalogue.

Accepted for submission are B1 size posters (width 728mm, height 1,030mm) produced between July 2019 and July 2020, portrait orientation only. Works that express a theme and must include the lettered characters of the theme. There is no limit to the number of entries, but in the case of a series of works, each work should consist of no more than three pieces.

The JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2020 is a poster competition for students of high school age and above. Current students as of 1 January 2020, enrolled in high school, technical college, specialized training college, university or graduate school, are eligible to enter.

All nationalities and all ages are welcome to apply individually.

The application fee is 1,000 Yen per piece. For a work in a series, this would be the number of pieces times 1,000 Yen.
