IT TECHNICIAN
Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of IT Technician at its site at Mahlasela Pass.
The IT Technician plays a key role in ensuring the seamless functioning of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure across the resort, supporting daily operations and long‑term IT capability development.
Job Responsibilities
You will:
• Hold the position guaranteeing the seamless functioning of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure within the organisation
• Maintain and configure hardware and software systems
• Troubleshoot PC‑related issues effectively
• Ensure the integrity and reliability of the network
• Monitor and maintain system security
• Actively engage in research and development initiatives to improve IT capabilities in alignment with organisational needs
• Manage point‑of‑sale (POS) units
• Organise, monitor, and maintain access points
Requirements
• Demonstrated experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar IT role
• In‑depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications
• Proficiency in LAN and WAN networks and advanced troubleshooting techniques
• Strong skills in hardware and software installation and configuration
• Comprehensive understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proactive approach to staying up‑to‑date with technology trends and advancements
