About the Position
Providere Academy, incorporating Annabelle Pre-School, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of IT Teacher for the 2027 academic year.
The successful candidate will teach learners essential computer skills, basic coding, digital citizenship, and online safety. The role also involves preparing age-appropriate lessons, integrating technology into teaching and learning, and supporting teachers in using technology effectively in the classroom.
Minimum Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, ICT Education, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification will be an advantage.
- Experience teaching ICT at primary school level will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Cambridge Primary Computing or Digital Literacy curriculum, or willingness to undergo relevant Cambridge training.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and internet use.
- Ability to teach basic coding, digital citizenship, online safety, and computer skills appropriate to learners’ ages.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and lesson-planning skills.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
- Commitment to child safeguarding, learner development, and continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach computer skills, basic coding, digital citizenship, and online safety.
- Plan and deliver lessons appropriate to learners’ ages and abilities.
- Prepare learning materials and assess learners’ progress.
- Support teachers in integrating technology into their teaching.
- Participate in Cambridge curriculum training where required.
- Promote responsible technology use and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Uphold child safeguarding standards and professional conduct.
