About This Role
The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality IT infrastructure projects and support services to CBS’s commercial clients. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN/WAN networks, servers, and related systems, while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The engineer will act as a technical lead in project execution and work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. The role also encompasses expertise in virtualization platforms, enterprise storage (NAS and SAN), and integration of public cloud solutions into hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver commercial IT projects that align with customer needs.
- Install, configure, and operate LAN and WAN services.
- Plan and implement diverse network and computer system architectures.
- Provide strategic input for the growth and success of the CBS Infrastructure Department.
- Design, implement, and manage virtualization solutions, enterprise storage systems (NAS, SAN), and public cloud environments to meet client infrastructure requirements.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain technical project documentation and reports.
- Organize and deliver customer training programs, including development of related resources.
- Provide prompt and efficient technical support to clients.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and resolutions.
- Prioritize tasks to maximize productivity and reduce downtime.
- Assess client requirements and recommend system and network solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies.
- Act as technical project lead during implementation.
- Assist in quality assurance for infrastructure projects and services.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
CCNA, MCSE, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect (advantageous).
