POSITION : IT Support Technician
DEPARTMENT : Technical
REPORTING TO : IT Supervisor

PURPOSE:
To provide user support in line with IT policies and procedures

Main Duties / Key Responsibilities
• Receives, troubleshoots and resolves all business support systems problems and computing environments
• Escalates unresolved problems to the second level support.
• Receives technical support calls through the Help Desk System, emails and resolves or escalates were necessary
• Installs, configures tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end-user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
• Guides users on appropriate action for their service request.
• Tracks and routes problems and requests resolutions within 12hours as per OLA with business.
• Configures and supports Local Area Network (LAN)
• Maintains and updates IT equipment (laptops, desktops, printers, projectors, etc) and submits a monthly report

Qualifications and Experience:
· Diploma in computer science or equivalent
· Information Technology

Special Skills / Personality:
· Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare reports
· Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements
· Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes
· Ability to interact, negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets
