POSITION : IT Support Supervisor
DEPARTMENT : Technical
REPORTING TO : IT Manager
PURPOSE:
To provide support services and monitor optimal system performance, availability, data integrity and accuracy in line with set performance standards.
Main Duties / Key Responsibilities
• Develops and updates service desk functions design and submit to manager for approval
• Attends IT meetings
• develops and updates hardware, software, backup and network capacity plans and submits to manager for approval
• Develops and updates infrastructure roadmap and submits to IT Manager
• Provides input in the development of the disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Researches on IT technology and services trends and keeps abreast of changes in the technological environment
• Checks that System backups are done and secured properly daily.
• Participates in IT risk assessment, business continuity planning, testing and evaluation
• Participates in disaster recovery plan formulation
• Reviews the change requests initiated by IT team and submits for Approval
• Coordinates and facilitates the implementation of PC hardware and software approved upgrades
Qualifications:
• Degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent
• ITIL certification
Experience:
• 2-4 years IT Technologies or similar environment
• 2 years IT Service Desk
• Customer Care
• IT support
• IT hardware and software
Special Skills / Personality:
· Communication and ability to prepare reports
· Planning and organising
· Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes
· Ability to interact, negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets
· Ability to manage and develop staff
