Letšeng seeks to engage a qualified Mosotho professional with appropriate skills and aptitude to fill the position of IT SECURITY SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (PATERSON BAND CU).
PURPOSE: To provide Information Technology (IT) services to Letšeng Diamonds that involves the development, installation, monitoring, repair and maintenance of Mine’s Security Systems, Information Systems and associated networks.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install and configure Letšeng communication, Security and IT Systems as well as computer hardware, Printers, Operating systems, applications and all IT related peripheral devices
• Install, configure and test networks and network elements and conduct electrical safety checks on computers and all IT related equipment
• Follow diagrams, written and verbal instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Responsible for inventory of Security and IT Systems network elements and peripherals and IT Systems equipment repairs
• Develop and action routine maintenance schedule and checklists for Security and IT Systems computers equipment, servers, data centres, networks and applications
• Identify and recommend development requirements of subordinates and lead or take part in all Security and IT Systems projects
• Monitor and proactively maintain Security and IT Systems networks and network elements
• Monitor and maintain VMware and Veeam backup and replication systems
• Ensure surveillance network systems and cameras are always running optimally and security surveillance system is given priority maintenance
• Provision of network security and data backup and administration of systems hardware and software updates.
• Up-to-date AD reports aligned to AD Policy
• Comply with SHE policies
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Degree /Diploma in information systems and/or 10 Years relevant Experience in IT supervision
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Administrator
• Code B Driver’s Licence
• At least one year IT supervision experience
• A background in telecommunication, Surveillance and Access Control Systems would be an advantage
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the work methods and techniques applied in the execution of IT-related outputs
• IT Networking, Analytical, Coordination, Follow-up, Interpersonal, Listening, Needs Analysis
• Systems Management, Time Management, Management/Supervisory
