Through information management, we help our partners target assistance to the world’s most vulnerable populations and support local authorities and institutions to enhance their capacities and autonomy in data and information management.
Scope of Work
The Global IT Officer leads and manages 3iS’s global IT operations, infrastructure, and digital platforms. This role ensures the optimal functioning, security, and scalability of the organization’s digital ecosystem in alignment with strategic goals.
In addition to ensuring day-to-day operational continuity, the IT Officer plays a key advisory role in shaping the organization’s digital strategy and standards. The role involves identifying and implementing technological solutions that enhance efficiency, data security, and collaboration across dispersed teams.
The IT Officer supports both country teams and headquarters by providing advanced technical expertise, managing cloud environments, maintaining business-critical systems, and integrating digital tools that enable innovation and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer and maintain AWS and Google Cloud infrastructures
- Lead deployment and maintenance of open-source and proprietary platforms
2. Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace Management
- Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, Entra ID, SharePoint, Defender)
- Configure and secure Google Workspace tools and user accounts
3. IT Support and Service Desk Oversight
- Provide global technical support and manage helpdesk operations
- Coordinate with country teams to troubleshoot and deploy solutions
4. Cybersecurity & Incident Response
- Conduct security audits and penetration testing
- Monitor threats and implement prevention strategies
- Coordinate incident response and disaster recovery
5. Licensing, Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage software licenses and subscriptions (e.g., Microsoft, Google, Adobe, ArcGIS)
- Support procurement and vendor evaluation
- Provide license usage reports for financial planning
6. Web Development & Digital Communication Platforms
- Maintain and enhance the organization’s WordPress website
- Support full-stack web development and API integrations
- Manage digital platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X) and chatbot implementations
7. Analytics & Monitoring
- Implement tools to monitor system performance and security
- Provide data-driven reports to leadership
8. Strategic Innovation
- Propose and implement innovative tools and practices
- Support digital transformation initiatives across teams
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Certifications in AWS, GCP, Microsoft, or cybersecurity are a strong asset
Languages
- Excellent oral and written English
- French and Spanish are an advantage
Experience
- Minimum 3 years in cloud systems administration (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Proven full-stack development and WordPress CMS administration
- Strong knowledge of DNS, domain management, and API integration
- Experience in international or multicultural environments is a plus
