We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to maintain our SLAs for uptime, performance, capacity and ensures that security of the network meets our policy and requirements. You will be expected to acquire, install or upgrade network hardware and software; provide routine automation; maintain security policies; manage deployment processes; troubleshoot issues; train and/or supervise staff or technical support in projects and contribute to internal documentation for any activity they are involved in.
Our hosting landscape includes both traditional co-located hardware (Corporate Environment) and Cloud-based IaaS provided by either private (Rackspace OpenStack) or public (AWS, Azure) vendors.
The right applicant will demonstrate a deep understanding of networking, strong experience in Office 365 suite/Azure, not just the technologies although this is important, will be able to communicate it to the management team, vendors and customers.
Responsibilities
- JIRA for network-related ticket resolution related to customer hosting and company issues
- JIRA Agile project work and internal group issue resolution
- Exceptionally good communication skills, both verbally and written (part of a global team)
- Management of network inventory covering physical and virtual devices
- Management of operating system and hardware inventory with reporting for licensing and financial controls
- Configuration of corporate office network components in a consistent manner
- Installing software updates and signatures in a consistent manner
- Managing Change Control and Deployment processes
- Backup of configuration for all network devices
- Review of network performance, collection of performance data for analysis
- Identify and setup monitoring for all network services where monitoring connectivity is required
- Routine maintenance, patch management
- Using of logging and monitoring systems
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years’ experience in large scale network involving several offices and data centres in different countries
- Professional Experience in Cloud Networking, AWS or Azure
- Demonstrable experience with Cisco switches IOS Cat 35xx, Cisco firewalls ASA5500X / ASAv software 9.x and Ubiquity UniFi Wireless systems
- Full Office 365 Suite Management
- Windows Server (Active Directory)
- T Security Concepts
- College Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar technical discipline, or provable experience on such a level
- CCNP and CCNP Security certification or equivalent of experience
