We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive IT Manager to lead our technical infrastructure, deployments, and architecture. If you’re passionate about building resilient systems, automating processes, and ensuring secure, high-performing environments, this is your opportunity to shine.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
- Oversee system documentation and administrative processes, ensuring up-to-date and accessible records for all systems.
- Lead and maintain code repositories and version control workflows.
- Handle code deployments for C#, PHP, Node.js, and Python-based applications.
- Design and maintain robust system architecture that supports business objectives.
- Administer Linux servers for performance, backups, monitoring, and upgrades.
- Ensure proper network configuration and security, including VPNs, firewalls, and traffic control.
- Collaborate with developers, support staff, and other departments to meet IT needs.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential risks or system bottlenecks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an IT Systems or Infrastructure role, with at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial capacity.
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services – EC2, RDS, S3, Beanstalk, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Linux server environments (Ubuntu, CentOS).
- Proficiency in PHP, Python, and Node.js environments.
- In-depth understanding of version control systems (branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals – IP routing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs.
- Experience with system design and architectural planning for scalable software platforms.
- Ability to document systems clearly and maintain internal IT knowledge bases.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator).
- Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience in setting up automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, and relevant experience in the banking/mobile money sector (or equivalent work experience).
