- Job Title : IT Audit Specialist
Reports to : IT Audit Manager

JOB PURPOSE
To evaluate information processing systems to determine their efficiency, accuracy and completeness. The incumbent will have the opportunity to perform various audit types (such as information technology (IT) general controls reviews; IT security reviews; applications control reviews; IT projects reviews; and systems development life cycle project reviews) and provide data analytics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Possesses a solid understanding of general IT controls, infrastructure, operating systems, database administration, as well as practical audit experience executing audit programs;
Assesses the design and effectiveness of internal controls governing the Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Mobile Wallet and Agency Banking Channels across the bank;
Evaluates key processes and controls governing products or process development or enhancement, to ensure improved customer experience and digital adoption and digital sales;
Evaluates processes to determine adequacy of controls, compliance with policies and procedures, and comparison to leading practices;
Develops accurate, logical and detailed work-papers clearly describing the work performed, results of testing and conclusions reached;
Provides recommendations to management for strengthening controls, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and enhancing operations;
Prepares comprehensive written and oral audit reports detailing the results of the audit;
Partners with more senior members of the team to work with management to develop acceptable solutions to address issues or gaps identified;
Provides assurance and consulting services throughout the project life cycle; and
Performs other special projects as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent;
A minimum of 2 years of internal or external IT auditing experience;
Relevant professional certification will be an added advantage;
Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) skills; and
Background in banking and financial services is desirable.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient in using computer software (e.g., ACL, MS SQL Server, SQL Developer, Excel);
A solid understanding of hardware and infrastructure, networks, application development methodologies, and IT governance;
Basic knowledge of digital channels and risks around their use;
Basic knowledge of auditing processes or procedures;
Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks or projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables;
Investigative and analytical skills;
Organisational and time management skills; and
Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in departmental projects.
