Position : ISP Supervisor
Department : Technical
Reports To : Information Technology Manager
Main Purpose:
To supervise the ISP services’ provisioning, maintenance and support in line with set ETL and regulatory requirements.
Major Tasks:
• Develops and updates ISP network designs and submit to manager for approval
• Develops and updates hardware, software, backup and network capacity plans and submits to IT manager for approval
• Develops and updates infrastructure roadmap and submits to IT Manager
• Provides input in the development of the disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Develops a plan for internet number resources allocation and submits to IT manager for approval
• Prepares specifications on ISP equipment and submits to the manager for approval and procurement
• Resolves escalated faults on Internet services (such as Direct internet access or Email)
• Prepares the ISP reports (Weekly, Monthly, quarterly) and submits to the IT Manager
• Conducts quarterly assessments for ISP network nodes and submits a report with recommendations to IT Networks
• Monitors fault resolutions in line with the fault resolution timelines
• Coordinates and facilitates ISP projects’ implementation and submits the report to IT Manager
• Analyses and recommends the processes improvements on the IP network and implements upon approval
• Agrees on medium and short term objectives, develops a work plan, and checks that this is being carried out.
Educational Qualifications and Related Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• CCNA certification is essential
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in IP network or similar environment
Performance Contract:
Successful candidate shall be on three months’ probation period and if successful will sign an annual performance delivery contract; the results thereof shall form the basis of the continued existence of
substantive contract.
