REPORTING TO : ISP Supervisor

Responsible for monitoring, configuring, maintaining and providing support on ISP network in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Key duties/Responsibilities

·   Provides 2nd level support to Network Operations Centre (NOC) and technical support to Commercial by resolving escalated faults according to SLAs

·   Con gures product upgrades and/or downgrades by implementing work orders or change requests

·   Carries out, provides and maintains accurate updates of the topology and con guration databases

·   Conducts the IP network health checks, assessments and submits the report to the ISP Supervisor

·   Develops custom alerts, reports and scripts to help identify security incidents and trends

·   Performs design tests, network provision, and final network implementations and submits the report to the ISP Supervisor

·   Prepares weekly network performance reports and submits to the ISP Supervisor

·   Carries out software rollout support (upgrade, patches), hardware and software consistency checks and network quality

·   Administers Internet firewalls in line with IS Policies and Procedures

·   Participates in user acceptance tests in conjunction with business units

·   Maintains accurate, up to date client  files and generate quotes timelines for clients as requested

Qualifications & Experience:

·   Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

·   CCNA Certification or equivalent

Competencies:

·   Ability to prepare reports

·   Have proven technical, problem solving and troubleshooting ability

·   Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes

·   Ability to interact, negotiate (where applicable) and achieve targets

·   Ability to demonstrate clear & con dent communication skills both written and verbal

·   Passion for IT and technology, and a drive to help customers take advantage of new solutions

·   Willing to work outside normal office hours from time-to-time when required
