Invitation to Bidders: Supply and Delivery of Hospital Consumables
Bid Notice Under Open Competitive Tendering

The Ministry of Health has allocated/received funds to QMMH to be used for the acquisition of hospital consumables.
The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the following supplies, categorised into lots as detailed below.
Category 1: Mainstore Consumables
- Lot A: Supply and Delivery of Sharp Containers and Specimens.
- Lot B: Supply and Delivery of Plastics.
- Lot C: Supply and Delivery of Toiletry Consumables.
- Lot D: Supply and Delivery of Cleaning and Laundry Chemicals.
- Lot E: Supply and Delivery of Stationery.
Category 2: Maintenance Consumables
- Lot A: Supply and Delivery of HVAC Materials.
- Lot B: Supply and Delivery of Mechanical Materials.
- Lot C: Supply and Delivery of Plumbing Materials.
- Lot D: Supply and Delivery of Electrical Materials.
- Lot E: Supply and Delivery of Civil Materials.
Bidding Process
Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open national bidding method contained in the Public Procurement Act and is open to all local Basotho bidders.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address provided below, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM SAST.
Mandatory Documents
Bidders must submit the following mandatory documents:
- Relevant and valid trader’s licence.
- Relevant and valid tax clearance.
- A refundable bid security of:
- Category 1: M40,000.00.
- Category 2: M52,000.00.
Submission of Bids
Sealed bids must be submitted in an envelope bearing no identification of the bidder and clearly marked:
- “Supply and Delivery of Mainstore Consumables”; or
- “Supply and Delivery of Maintenance Consumables”.
The envelope must also indicate the address of the Procurement Entity and the lot tendered for.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 13 November 2026 at 11:30 AM SAST. All bids must be accompanied by the applicable bid security. Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:45 AM SAST on the bid closing date.

The planned procurement schedule, subject to changes, is as follows:
- Publication of bid notice: 16 October 2026.
- Pre-bid meeting, where applicable: Not applicable.
- Deadline for clarifications: 30 October 2026.
- Bid closing date: 13 November 2026 at 11:30 AM SAST.
- Evaluation process: 16–27 November 2026.
- Display and communication of best-evaluated bidder notice: 7 December 2026.
- Contract signature: 12 December 2026.
