Invitation of Applicants for Samsung Innovation Campus
The Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) in collaboration with Samsung Electronics South Africa, is excited to offer Basotho youth certified training in Coding and Programming (C&P) using Python! This training is intended to help youth gain vital skills for industry in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
1. Background and Introduction
The Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) hosted by Lerotholi Polytechnic (LP) is a future-oriented talent training program under Samsung Electronics. The SIC at LP will offer training in Coding and Programming (C&P), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data.
The C&P course will cover object-orientated programming, algorithms and basic data processing using python. The course also has an emphasis on developing candidates’ soft skills including teamwork, communication, problem-solving and creativity needed in the workplace.
The SIC is inviting applications from eligible Basotho youth for the Coding and Programming (C&P) course, which is the first in this series of trainings.
2. Application and Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria: 18-35 years old
Education: Must have graduated within 2021/2022 to 2022/2023
Required Performance: Have acquired the minimum of II (I), Credit or similar Level of performance.
Status: Must be unemployed
Institution: Must have graduated in local institutions accredited by CHE
Coding Experience: Basic Programming and computer literacy
Admission Process: Must complete application and write admission quiz.
