Background
The Government of Lesotho has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the financing of which is administered by IFAD, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to this procurement.
The use of any IFAD financing shall be subject to IFAD’s approval pursuant to the terms and conditions of the financing agreement, as well as IFAD’s rules, policies, and procedures.
IFAD and its officials, agents, and employees shall be held harmless from and against all suits, proceedings, claims, demands, losses, and liability of any kind or nature brought by any party in connection with the ROLL Project.
Project Overview
The Regeneration of Landscapes and Livelihoods (ROLL) Project includes rehabilitation of sixteen identified landscapes in Lesotho and improvement of livelihoods of people in rural areas within a period of eight years.

This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the General Procurement Notice that appeared on:

Scope of Works
The Employer now invites sealed bids from eligible entities (“bidders”) for the execution and completion of:
“Supply and Installation of Irrigation Schemes”
The works are being bid as a Lump Sum Contract based on a Price Activity Schedule.
Eligibility
This IFB is open to all eligible bidders who wish to participate.
Subject to the restrictions stipulated in the bidding document, eligible bidders may associate with other bidders to enhance their capacity to successfully carry out the works.
Procurement Method
A contractor will be selected using the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) method in accordance with the IFAD Procurement Handbook accessible at:
