The Lesotho College of Education (LCE) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following position tenable at the Maseru and Thaba‑Tseka campuses.

Position
Invigilators (35 Positions)
Duration
- 8 Days
Station
- Maseru Campus: 27 positions
- Thaba‑Tseka Campus: 8 positions
Job Summary
Invigilation is an essential method of ensuring credible and quality examinations. It must be conducted properly by qualified and competent personnel.
The Council on Higher Education emphasises quality‑assured practices in assessment. Proper invigilation ensures credible examination processes and reliable results.
Training
- A once‑off training session will be provided for successful candidates
- Training will be facilitated by the Academic Section through the Office of the Deputy Registrar Academic Affairs (DRAA)
Main Duties
Under the supervision of the Deans of Faculties (Supervisors), invigilators will:
- Collect examination papers, hall keys, and clocks from the examinations office
- Open examination halls and check desks before exams begin
- Verify student identity documents upon entry
- Read examination rules to students before commencement
- Distribute examination papers and answer booklets
- Ensure no cheating occurs during examinations
- Ensure students sign the attendance register upon submission of scripts
- Collect and count examination scripts, ensuring they match attendance records
- Return scripts to the examinations office
- Write and submit reports on misconduct or malpractice
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualification
- Degree in Education/Teaching or higher
Experience
- Teaching experience will be an added advantage
