Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Registrar – Examinations, Certification & Records, the Invigilator is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the proceedings of the students’ examinations, thus ensuring credibility and transparency of examination processes.
Responsibilities
Key Duties Are as Follows
- Ensure that examination venues are ready for examinations.
- Correctly verify students’ identity documents upon entry into the exam halls.
- Read out the examination rules and guidelines to the students before commencement of the exams.
- Ensure that students adhere to the set examination hall requirements and standards.
- Distribute examination materials to the students.
- Monitor the examination halls to ensure that there is no cheating or any other examination irregularities.
- Administer the attendance register upon submission of scripts.
- Collect and count the examination scripts to ensure that their quantity corresponds with the attendance register.
- Submit scripts to the Examinations Office.
- Compile examination reports, including those on misconduct and malpractice.
- Attend malpractice hearings if required to do so.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Education, Adult Education, Management, or Administration.
Other Requirements
- Be currently unemployed.
- Experience working with students.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, critical and analytical abilities.
- Report writing and documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High level of confidentiality.
