Temporary Positions for 2026 October–November LGCSE Final Examinations
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following temporary positions tenable in the ten (10) districts at the Ministry of Education and Training (Lesotho Distance Teaching Centre) for the 2026 October–November LGCSE final examinations.
Important: Applicants must apply for a position in their own district and must clearly indicate the full address of their place of residence on the application form.
Invigilator
Grade: E
Number of Positions: Twelve (12)
Duty Stations: Maseru, Leribe, Mokhotlong, Qacha’s Nek, Botha-Bothe, Thaba-Tseka, Quthing and Berea, Mohale’s Hoek ×2 and Mafeteng ×2
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Chief Invigilator/Centre Supervisor, the incumbent shall participate in the running of JC and LGCSE end-of-year final examinations.
Main Duties
a) Fully be trained in invigilation requirements to meet the expectations of the final examinations.
b) Prepare, check and record the status of the examinations facilities and materials/documents during the final examinations period.
c) Undertake invigilation tasks for JC and LGCSE final examinations period as assigned by the Chief Invigilator.
d) Demonstrate a high level of discipline, performance and professionalism in the execution of duties.
e) May write reports connected to examinations and invigilation for the final examinations period in the absence of the Chief Invigilator.
f) Supervise the final examinations invigilation’s tasks of the Assistant Invigilator.
g) Supervise Assistant Invigilator.
Job Specification
- B.Ed plus one (1) year teaching experience; or
- Diploma in Education (Secondary/Primary) plus two (2) years teaching experience; or
- Certificate in Education plus three (3) years teaching experience.
