Investment Analyst

JOB TITLE: Investment Analyst
RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Investment
DEPARTMENT: Investment of Division


To implement and manage the Fund’s investments including investments policies, guidelines, and processes that will grow the Fund through prudent return on investments. To assist the Head of Investment to monitor, evaluate and analyse both the internal and external portfolio performance reports. Then compile subsequent reports to make recommendations to the Head of Investment as head of the division.


  • Commercial bachelor’s degree (i.e. B.Com, B.Acc, B.Bus, B.A Economics, BSc Economics, BSc Mathematics with Statistics.)
  • B.Com (Honours) or B.SC (Honours) in Finance preferred
  • CFA would be an advantage

Key Performance Indicator/Duties:

  • Assist in making investments in efficient manner;
  • Deal screening
  • Preliminary appraisal of deals
  • Due diligence scoping and execution
  • Industry and sectoral research;
  • Financial modelling;
  • Manage portfolio prudently and enforce ESG discipline;
  • Ensure the ESG targets have been met
  • Make client visits
  • Review quarterly monitoring reports
  • Review performance of the investments

  • Strong quantitative, organizational and research skills;
  • Strong computer skills, a high command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and other software such as Bloomberg, Adobe, and Client Connections. Ability to program in Visual Basic is a plus;
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform a wide range of tasks (including some clerical/administrative when needed);
  • Ability to work, with minimal supervision, as a member of a dynamic, fast-paced team;
  • Ability to independently set priorities and manage an intense, rapidly changing work program;
  • Proven ability to work in a multicultural environment;
  • Familiarity with web editing tools, e.g., Adobe Experience Manager;
  • Enthusiasm for, and a commitment to, development work;
