JOB DESCRIPTION
MINISTRY: Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation
DEPARTMENT: Postal Services
TITLE: Investigation Clerk (1)
GRADE: E
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Controller
LOCATION: Maseru
JOB PURPOSE
Receives cases from the mail room, addresses customer complaints, attends to tracking issues, tracks and traces movement of mail, investigates mail irregularities, and keeps statistical records.
MAIN DUTIES
- Receives cases of lost or misrouted items from the mail room for investigation
- Addresses customer complaints concerning delays in parcel delivery, lost or misrouted items
- Attends to tracking issues and liaises with Designated Operators to resolve them
- Tracks and traces the movement of mail to ensure transparency, swift resolution of customer complaints, and enhanced service delivery across the postal network
- Investigates mail irregularities arising from negligence or theft committed within the postal system
- Keeps statistical records of incidents of loss or damage to mail arising from job negligence or theft
KNOWLEDGE AND JOB SPECIFICATION
- Diploma in Business Studies / Diploma in Management / Diploma in Public Administration
- Experience in Postal Services: Will be an added advantage
